Volkshilfe Steiermark is one of the largest non-profit-making providers in Styria/Austria (with a total of 1800 employees) as regards Health and Social Care and Childcare. It was founded as a charity in 1946. The expertise is in providing services for children, families and old people. Volkshilfe offers both mobile and residential health and care for the elderly as well as childcare.
In addition Volkshilfe has an Institute for Research, Education and Development called “Connect” that is providing in-service-training for the staff, but also occupied with carrying transnational projects in the European programmes for education.
Since Volkshilfe is providing its services for the community, it keeps close contact with the local authorities and politicians. Moreover Volkshilfe has built an efficient network with organisations providing services for the families.

Szent Lőrinc Szakközépiskola, a vocational school of catering and tourism, has started its activites in 1996. The school operates as a foundational school in Nothern Hungary. The school has got a maintainer: the trust.
The school has an aim: to educate people to be well-qualified professionals with up-to-date knowledge and with recent professional knowledge at an European level to catering-, tourism- and mercantile trade. Recently the school has achieved a great reputation in the country because its schooling-program bears on different counties, like: Heves, Nógrád, Szolnok, Pest, Fejér and Borsod.
Among its programs you can find the upbringing of catering- and mercantile-dynasties, and also the training of entrepreneurs. In the first year the school altogether had no more than 100 students. In 2007 the number of students has increased to 900. The school-units are lively-, operating workshops where our students get professional in-depth knowledge. (3 restaurants, 2 confectionaries with the workshop, a café, a commercial-workshop, a shop, a 2* hotel, dormitory, a youth hostel and a beauty saloon.) The units are operating very well and are open to the public. The school delivers food for two nurseries, an elementary school and two veteran’s homes.
Szent Lőrinc Szakközépiskola trains specialists with secondary qualification, entrepreneurs and skilled workers in the area of catering industry, tourism and trade within the scope of regular classes and officially acknowledged courses.

AWO Ennepe Ruhr is a welfare organization with almost 600 employees who offers social services in the area between the cities of Wuppertal, Dortmund and Hagen. We combine three different offers in our LEONARDO project in order to achieve the goal of healthy nutrition.
Our caterer “AWO a la carte” supplies numerously day care centres for children with meals. With special training courses and consulting the AWO department “work and qualification” tries to enlarge the knowledge of the educators and kitchen coworkers in the area of child nutrition and tries to create positive examples how to reach the goal under time pressure and shortage of money.

The Berufskolleg Lise Meitner (BKLM) is a vocational college with a lot of different departments and programmes. The students can learn different professions in the social sector. They can start with a basic level for example child care assistant, social care assistant or special needs assistant. At the same time they can acquire general knowledge and qualifications for studying at universities or universities of applied sciences. Students with the necessary qualifications can learn educator and special needs educator.
Furthermore there is the domestic science sector for jobs in housekeeping (canteen kitchen) or in the hotel and catering industry.
The BKLM also have advanced classes where chefs, hotel and restaurant workers can improve their vocational qualification to become executives in the hotel and catering industry.
For all those students child oriented catering at work is an topic which becomes more important in the intended professions.
The staff consists of teachers for housekeeping and catering on the one side and of teachers for educational and social work on the other side. Also there are students and trainees in these sectors.
In addition the BKLM has good relationships to companies, public institutions and social institutions like kindergarten, hospitals, homes for the elderly, homes for physically challenged and mentally disabled people.
Regarding the above mentioned occupational groups which are trained at the BKLM it is possible to analyse provider’s and customer’s needs concerning child oriented catering during the project.

The EU Service Centre for Business and Vocational Training is part of the District Administration Münster. The Centre is a service orientated institution of the School Supervisory Board and cooperates in projects with the 38 vocational colleges of the region as well as with enterprises, chambers, universities, seminars of teacher-training.
The function of the EU Service Centre is to initiate, realize and evaluate national and international EU projects. So far the Centre has conducted projects of the LEONARDO Programme (mobility and pilots), the EU initiative EQUAL and INTERREG IIIA as well as other support programmes of the ESF (European Social Fund). Furthermore the EU Service Centre provides for the distribution and embedding of project result in regional and national networks with members ranging from the Ministry of School and Further Education in North Rhine-Westphalia to the EU Service Centres of the other District Administrations.
In close cooperation with the Vocational College Lise Meitner the EU Service Centre is taking on the following tasks as a functional and administrative authority: review of the developed results with regard to their feasibility in the diverse programmes of vocational colleges, to compatibility of the content with the examination regulations of the vocational colleges and support of the vocational college in the transnational cooperation and dissemination activities.

The section Nutrition & Consumer Education consists of 2 professors and 10 research associates. The interdisciplinary research and development work focuses on nutrition, consumer education and protection and health in different life stages. Among this the survey „Ernährungs- und Verbraucherbildung in allgemein bildenden Schulen“ a nationwide analysis and evaluation of the nutrition education in schools (EiS-project), the pre-operating study REVIS „Reform der Ernährungs- und Verbraucherbildung in Schulen“ (Reform of the Nutrition and Consumer Education in German Schools), the EU-project „Consumer Education for Adults Network (CEAN)“, the pre-operating study PAPI “Paderborner Adipositas Prävention und Intervention – gesund aufwachsen in Paderborn“ (Paderborner Adiposity Prevention and Intervention) and the nationwide epidemiological study about the nutrition situation of children and adolescents in Germany (VELS, ESKIMO).
A further emphasis lies on the nutrition, exercise and health situation of elderly people. The section is responsible for the education of teachers in Home economics and involved in the education of the subject general science.
The project leader Prof. Heseker has been working for 10 years as nutrionist for the University of Paderborn. He is member of the workgroup School-Nutrition- Education of the German Nutrition Society (DGE e.V.) and vice president of the German Nutrition Society.

The Euregio Forum for Professional Qualification and Technology (EQT for short) is a non-profit association for the promotion of cross-border co-operations between universities, educational services, businesses, local authorities and organisations in the in the Münsterland and the Dutch border-area of Twente/Oost-Gelderland. The EQT takes part in European project partnerships and makes its contribution towards European integration. The EQT has a comprehensive experience in EU projects and programmes like COMETT, Leonardo da Vinci (pilot projects, exchange programmes), or EQUAL. The major focus lies on innovative educational and consultational services as well as cross-border labour market policy. EQT‘s main task is to monitor the quality management within this Leonardo project.

Many associations work in the Caritas Confederation, each with an autonomous structure. Caritas is the biggest provider of social services in Luxemburg.
It is the research and development unit (R&D), which is involved in the Leonardo project “Child orientated Catering”. Its work is centered in two axes: 1. family and society and 2. economy and solidarity.

Kvinnokoperativet Saga is a co-operative for women and run by women. The co-operative was founded in 1998 and given the status of Regional Rescource Centre for Women in the county of Gävleborg, Sweden in 2000.
The objectives of Saga are to create meeting places for women, promote networking, contribute to the use of women’s knowledge and experiences and also to work for the improvement of women’s conditions in the region. Saga co-operates with local resource centres, networks and other female associations.
Saga establishes and participates in local, national and international projects. Saga is involved as partner in several international networks and projects (e.g. Leonardo da Vinci, EQUAL and INTERREG IIIc projects). Saga is also a branch of the international network WITEC, Women in Science and Technology.
Saga offers a wide range of networking meetings, seminars, lectures, courses and training for women in the county of Gävleborg.
Partners of Saga are the County Administration Board of Gävleborg, the Universities of Gävle, municipalities in the region of Gävleborg, employment agencies, NUTEK - Swedish Business Development Agency, ESF - European Social Funds, entrepreneurs and NGOs.

Point Europa is a training and education charity, founded in February 2004, based in the twin villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, on the Rame Peninsula in SE Cornwall, England.
We are participants in a wide range of training and education projects, and are specialists in needs analysis and design of new training programmes and methods. We work locally and internationally in response to social need.
