You will find materials to the topic “Healthy nutrition for young children” that can be used in professional training and further education within the educational system, and in the field of home economics.
These materials have been developed and tested within the framework of the Leonardo da Vinci project “Child-oriented Catering”. They are an integral part of the whole concept aimed at qualifying of trainers, teachers, and multipliers from the areas of child care and child catering services.
The concept consists of three parts:
- CHOCA-journal in print version that presents various aspects of child nutrition and various examples from the participating European countries.
- Prefabricated educational materials to download for trainers and teachers in educational sciences and home economics who can use them in professional training and further education.
- Demand-oriented exemplary training schemes for trainers and teachers in the fields of educational sciences and group catering that have been tried and tested by the participating project partners.
The freely downloadable materials are meant to support multipliers when planning and implementing course content or units of training and learning in the areas of child care / educational sciences and group catering. A group of European experts from the specialist fields of Nutritional Sciences and Educational Science drew up the concept and compiled the materials.
